Getting Started

Four Simple Steps to a Scented Room

Follow this order the first time you open a new Doriane Scents diffuser for the best possible throw and the longest lasting fragrance

Remove the stopper

Take off the sealed stopper and set it aside once you are ready to begin using your diffuser

Insert the reeds

Place all reeds into the bottle and allow the oil to travel up through them for around one hour

Flip the reeds after 24 hours

Turn each reed over on its first day to release a fuller fragrance and start the natural rotation cycle

Place in the right spot

Position your diffuser on a flat surface away from direct sunlight and open windows for a steady scent

Care Notes

Getting the Fragrance Right

Do

  • Place your diffuser on a stable flat surface such as a console table or shelf
  • Rotate the reeds every week to refresh the scent throw in your room
  • Keep the bottle upright at all times to avoid spills on furniture
  • Store spare reeds in a cool dry place until your bottle is opened

Do not

  • Place your diffuser near direct sunlight or a heat source such as a radiator
  • Position it directly under an open window or air conditioning vent
  • Tip the bottle on its side or move it while the reeds are still wet
  • Leave the bottle within reach of young children or pets

Each bottle is designed to scent a room for around eight to ten weeks when placed correctly and away from direct heat or sunlight
Use all of the reeds included with your bottle for the strongest fragrance or remove one or two if you prefer a softer scent
Your nose can adjust to a familiar scent over time so the fragrance is often still present even when you can no longer notice it yourself
Flip the reeds once a week to release a fuller scent though your first flip should happen after the first twenty four hours
Our diffusers are designed as a single fill so we do not recommend topping up the bottle once the oil has been used
Entryways living rooms and bathrooms work particularly well since air moves through these spaces and carries the fragrance further
We recommend placing diffusers well out of reach of pets and children and avoiding rooms where a pet spends most of its time
Rinse the glass bottle once empty and recycle it with household glass while reeds can be disposed of with general waste
